Juliana’s Quincy is designed to be the ultimate adventure platform, the perfect bike to go out and get lost on. Built around a robust and lightweight full carbon fiber frame and fork, the Quincy feels nimble and agile, which makes it easy to dance up the most daunting of gravel, singletrack, or pavement climbs. Its modern geometry inspires confidence and snapping handling, making the Quincy just as at home bombing steep gravel descents as flying along the pavement. Tire clearance for up to 700x45c or 650bx2.1” tires ensures you’ll be able to run just about any tire combination under the sun. Routing for internal dropper posts lets you get extra rowdy if that’s your thing. Three bottle mounts, along with full fender mounts offer you the option to customize and optimize your setup for how you ride. A simple BSA threaded bottom bracket, drop in headset, and standard internal cable routing reduces maintenance induced headaches.
For the CC Rival build Juliana went with the weekend warrior’s SRAM Rival 1x11-speed drivetrain. Utilizing an XD driver, Juliana was able to run a large 10-42t mountain bike cassette. The 10-42t cassette works perfectly in conjunction with the 40t chainring to offer an excellent range and with the 10t cog, you’ll be able to hit much higher speeds than if Juliana had opted for a 11t equipped cassette. Mounted to the Easton BSA bottom bracket is Easton’s extremely stiff EA90 crankset equipped with a direct mount 40t chainring. For brakes, the Quincy is equipped with SRAM Rival hydraulic brakes and Avid Centerline 160mm rotors. This combination provides ample braking power and modulation in a reliable package. As for rims, Juliana went with a set of tubeless ready WTB EZR i23p 700c rims which feature a wide 23mm internal rim width which is perfect for modern gravel tires. Laced to the rims are a set of solid and easy to service DT Swiss 370 hubs. Wrapped around the wheels are a set of tubeless Maxxis Ravager EXO 40c tires which strike a great balance between grip and speed. For the finishing kit Juliana went with a full Easton EA50 setup, complete with AX series flared handlebars for increased confidence and control while descending in the drops. Mounted to the EA50 seatpost is a women’s specific Ergon SR10 saddle.
