Santa Cruz’s Bronson has long been the do everything, general mountain bike in the Santa Cruz lineup. It’s the bike you reach for when you don’t know which bike to bring to the ride. Built around a robust and lightweight carbon frame, you can be certain in knowing that the Bronson is light enough to climb, and durable enough to take on any trail. For 2022 Santa Cruz has changed things up a bit and gone with a mullet style platform (on all sizes except for extra small). A mullet style setup is a 29” wheel in the front and a 27.5” wheel out back. This setup gives riders the increased grip and rolling speed of a 29” tire up front with the agile and playful characteristics of the 27.5” wheel out back, translating into the best of both worlds. With 2.6” of tire clearance you’ll also be able to run your favorite tire combo. For 2022, Santa Cruz have also altered the geometry of the Bronson and made it slacker, extended the reach, and have optimized the chainstay length depending on the frame size, ensuring you’ll end up with a frame that’s perfect for you and all of the all-mountain shredding you do. With the included flip chip you can alter the geometry even more to accommodate your riding style. 160mm of travel in the front and 150mm in the back provides plenty of travel for just about any trail you’ll encounter. With Santa Cruz’s tried and true VPP platform on board you won’t have to worry about wasting any watts on the climb back up. A threaded bottom bracket, integrated headset, and a SRAM universal UDH universal derailleur hanger make maintaining and servicing the Bronson easy.

For the C XT level build Santa Cruz went with a full Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain. Shimano’s XT 12-speed drivetrain offers a massive 10-51t cassette, ensuring you’ll be able to climb up the steepest of climbs and have a high enough gear for the descents. Braking is handled by the incredibly reliable and cult-classic XT 4-piston M8120 brakes and XT RT86 Ice Tech rotors. Suspension up front is handled by the FOX 36 Performance Elite fork in a 160mm configuration. The 36 Performance Elite offers all of the same tuning and adjustment options of FOX’s top tier Factory fork, making it a great choice for riders who enjoy adjusting and tinkering with their suspension. Out back you’ll find the ever reliable RockShox Super Deluxe Select+. For wheels Santa Cruz went with a set of sturdy and reasonably light RaceFace ARC 30 rims laced to buttery smooth and high engagement Industry Nine 1/1 hubs. Wrapped around the rims you’ll find everyone’s favorite all around tire combo, the Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR II tires. Bars are supplied by Santa Cruz and are their in-house 35 Carbon Bar in an 800mm width for vibration damping and maximum control. The Bronson C XT MX build is the ideal build for riders who want an all-mountain machine that’s ready to get rowdy and sports a reliable build kit and extremely tunable suspension.
